How It Started
From One Truck to a Full Fleet
Moving Express & Storage was founded in 2010 by Marcus Rivera, a Newark native who saw firsthand how stressful and unreliable moving could be. After years of watching families get burned by no-shows, hidden fees, and careless movers, he decided to do it differently.
Starting with a single truck and a two-person crew, Marcus built the business on a simple promise: show up on time, treat every item like it's your own, and never surprise a customer with a bill they didn't expect.
Today, Moving Express & Storage operates a fleet of 20+ trucks, employs over 60 trained professionals, and has completed more than 10,000 successful moves across New Jersey, the tri-state area, and beyond.
